More about Matthew
Matthew Félix is a certified life coach, through the Human Potential Academy in London, England. He has an accredited certification in Intuitive Medicine from the Academy of Intuitive Medicine in Sausalito, California, and in March 2025 he completes a Building Personal Resilience certification with HeartMath Institute. Matthew has explored dreamwork in the US and France with author Robert Moss and participated in Esalen’s Live Extended Education Program, a month of onsite breathwork study. The author of four books and an active member of the San Francisco Bay Area literary community, Matthew co-founded the ongoing writing and wellness retreat, The Body and the Pen, in Sonoma County.
Former program director and host of the San Francisco Writers Conference Podcast, Matthew is a regular interviewer at Bay Area bookstores and has appeared as a guest on numerous programs, including CBS News Travel Editor Peter Greenberg’s nationally syndicated Eye on Travel and former Christian Science Monitor producer Lisa Taylor’s The Intuition Chronicles online series. Matthew leads a personal growth book group at Book Passage, and he is a frequent speaker at writing, cultural, and professional groups on topics ranging from the writing life to wellness, creativity to intuition, and more.
Prior to pursuing his path as an author and coach, Matthew worked in Fortune 100 companies in business analyst, project manager, and program manager roles. He spearheaded enterprise-wide change initiatives, re-engineered processes across the globe, facilitated large groups, and developed and delivered online and in-person training.
