More about Ciarán
Ciarán Byrne is a mental performance consultant and a certified Oxygen Advantage Respiratory Physiology Method advanced instructor. A former competitive athlete and coach in multiple sports, Ciarán served as head coach for the 1997 Irish Women’s Gaelic Football national college champion team. He has Masters of Science in Physiology and Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology (completing 2025), and he is co-author of six peer-reviewed scientific journal articles on human health.
Following his career in sport, Ciarán directed his passion for performance to the biomedical, consumer health, and medical device sectors, where he developed products focused on performance enhancement and well-being, as well as designing and delivering training curricula globally. His expertise in both the start-up and wellness spaces led to speaking engagements, including recent presentations at the University of San Francisco and to BioInnovate at Ireland’s University of Galway, in addition to ongoing lectures at Founders Institute Silicon Valley.
While still involved with healthcare and entrepreneurship, Ciarán has renewed his focus on human performance, which he considers his “natural home.” He is the founder of TriBreathe, a consultancy specializing in performance breathwork for endurance athletes, and Mensani, a mental skills program. Outside of his professional endeavors Ciarán continually expands his personal pursuit of wellness, which has included creative visualization, hypnosis, holotropic breathing, dreamwork, and more.
